Créma, named after the creamy, rich colored foam on the top of an espresso shot, is a weekly live musical performance at McConn. Créma happens every Wednesday night at 9:00 PM during the academic year and it features IWU and visiting musical artists, poetry slams, open mic nights, and other live music in a lively coffeehouse atmosphere. Come join us every Wednesday for a great time with old and new friends. And remember if you or someone you know are interested in being a featured artist, contact our McConn team! Barista Competition
McConn's Barista Competition is a chance for our baristas to exhibit their exceptional skills behind the bar. Participants are expected to prepare three of our classic beverages: a cappuccino, Cuban latte, and a signature drink of the contestant's choosing. Baristas are encouraged to create their own signature drink and show some of their creativity. A technical, sensory, and head judge score the drinks. Extreme Spring Break Nalgene Competition
Every year, McConn challenges the students of IWU to get creative over their Spring Break with the Extreme Nalgene Competition. Students are encouraged to take photos with or of their McConn Nalgenes and send them into extremenalgene@gmail.com to enter! Categories include extreme, cute, funny and creative. The semi finalists are displayed in our cafe area and the students themselves vote on the winner! Winners receive a McConn gift card!
